Reblog if you think british accents are sexy.

To all people in Queensland going through another natural disaster, It’s a category 5 cyclone and is 500km (310 miles) wide, the eye of the storm is 150km (93miles) wide aswell as 300km (186 mph) winds.

I hope everyone is ok, And can rebuild..again. Australians are strong people, so hopefully they can keep positive even though it will be difficult. I have watched a couple of live video’s of it happening and it is very scary.

For the people who don’t know where Queensland is, It’s in north east of Australia.

btw I live in Australia.

The state of Queensland, Australia is facing the most violent, frightening, deadly flash flooding it has seen since 1974. Torrential rain has been lashing at Queensland for over 36 hours, causing water levels to rise at an average of 16 centimetres each hour.
10 have just been confirmed dead, with an overwhelming 78 being reported as missing.
If you are able to donate to the Flood Donation Appeal, please do. I scraped together what money I could because each dollar that they receive will go towards helping the thousands of people who have been affected by this devastating force of nature.

I’m going to donate tomorrow.

I know this is out of regular posting for my blog, but I urge my followers to please take some time to research how the citizens of these suburbs have been and continue to be affected by the floods. I’m up here in Queensland at the moment, I have family and friends up here and everyone’s doing the best they can to keep perspective on things. The thought of having to abandon your belongings and your home to save your life is daunting. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards rebuilding communities that truly do need the support. If you’re from Australia, hell, even if you’re from overseas, please reblog this. The situation is getting worse by the minute and everyone up here needs all the help they can get.

13 year old Jordan Rice died in the Queensland floods trying to save his brother. This is the face of a little hero. I have tears in my eyes, this sweet little angel missed out on his whole life from this tragedy.

I heard about this story on the radio. He told the rescue team to take his little brother who was pearched up on his shoulders. They rescued his little brother but by the time they came around to rescuing him he’d already passed away.

I couldn’t not reblog this. He is a hero and everyone needs to know the braveness and love he had. My prayers are with this boy and his family.

Was on the news tonight, so admirable

:( rip <3

God, I’m crying now. You think you’d be able to do the same, in the moment, given the chance. But we never really know who the heroes are until in the face of adversity. This little boy probably never thought he’d give his life for his brother, but in the moment, he did what he felt was right. He is truly a hero and I can only hope we can all learn from him and find a way to help out with this as best we can. Rest in peace, Jordan. You did good, baby. You did good.
